The Royal Palm is a great tasting turkey listed with the Ark of Taste and available in a smaller package than most of the tasty heritage breeds. It is a relative new-comer to the world, coming from an accidental barnyard cross in the 1920's, intentionally stabilized for its distinctive markings, and finally reaching the American Standard of Perfection as recently as 1970's.
